Course description
This first-of-its-kind completely interactive web-based course is intended for
surgeons who specialize in the treatment of urethral stricture diseases and who are
interested in learning more about the latest, up-to-date, surgical techniques used in urethral
reconstruction. This course is designed to provide a thorough review of the field of
Reconstructive Urethral Surgery, what it is and why surgeons need to know about it.
During the course, the participant will be able to listen and communicate "live" with the
surgeon.
Learning objectives
After participating in this web-based course, the participant will be able to:
1. Understand what urethral stricture disease is and how what approaches to take to
thoroughly investigate the stricture and patient features.
2. Select the surgical procedure according to the stricture and patient features.
3. Perform all the currently used surgical techniques.
4. Understand the history and the current literature on Reconstructive Urethral Surgery.
One or two weeks visit at our Center including participation "Hands-On" at surgeries.

Surgical techniques
The participant will be provided the opportunity to observe and discuss "live" with the
surgeon the following surgical techniques:
• Harvesting oral graft from the cheek
• One-stage penile urethroplasty using oral graft
• One-stage penile urethroplasty using penile skin flap
• Two-stage penile urethroplasty using oral graft
• One-stage ventral onlay graft bulbar urethroplasty (including a muscle-nerve sparing
technique)
• One-stage dorsal onlay graft bulbar urethroplasty (including a muscle-nerve sparing
technique)
• Bulbar end-to-end anastomosis
• Augmented anastomotic repair
• Surgical repair of pan-urethral stricture
• Surgical repair of failed hypospadias repair
• Definitive perineal urethrostomy
• Posterior urethroplasty
• Others
